Kruger Occupational therapy offer a unique service. Patients with physical or neurological conditions such as:

• Strokes
• Traumatic Brain injuries
• Spinal Cord Injuries
• Orthopedic conditions
• Other physical or neurological conditions

These patients are visited in the comfort of their homes for follow-up rehabilitation. This will assist patients who already find it difficult to mobilise and travel to still get regular treatment sessions. Furthermore, it will aid the patient to be able to apply therapeutic progress made during rehabilitation in hospital and step downs in their home environments. Treatment will mainly focus on the functionality of the patient in his or her home in terms of general activities of daily living. These will include:

• Rehabilitation of the physical and cognitive skills affected
• Mobility in and around the house including adaptation recommendations
• Self care tasks such as dressing, eating and washing including provition of assistive devices needed to improve their level of functioning. This could also include assistance in the selection and ordering of wheelchair and wheelchair accessories.
• Basic training of caregivers
• If needed thermoplastic splints could be constructed for stiffness of mobility issues in the upper limb.
